Skill Development and Localization in South Africa

Seven students at intensive courses in Germany thanks to Eskom-SD&L program

Eskom Skill Development and Localization (SD&L) program, through its strategic partnerships, help to increase the skill set of previously disadvantage groups in South Africa, primarily by increasing their employment prospects. In this project, the SD&L initiative has opened doors for local suppliers to work with the international supplier, Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies.

Within one of the recent actions (from May to June 2015) and as a part of this SD&L program, seven South African students were invited to visit Germany, to attend an intensive 6-week-long round of courses and to train on-the job in German Power plants and advanced laboratories active in the area of energy technology.
